Rhodri: Tory Win in UK is good for Labour in Wales

It seems Rhodri Morgan thinks a Tory win in the next general election would good for his Labour party in Wales but history has shown us the Tories are not good for the people of Wales. A classic example of a respected Welsh politician putting his party before the people of Wales. I have no doubt that some of the Labour MP’s sitting in safe Welsh seats share Rhodri’s thoughts. Well “News Flash”, there is no safe Labour seat in Wales, there is no safe Liberal seat in Wales and there is no safe Tory seat in Wales. In the next general election I predict Plaid Cymru will increase its number of MP’s across Wales and increase its vote. For the European election Plaid will have 2 MEPs.

I don't think Plaid will get 2 seats as the party is seen as part of the establishment. The BNP will win a seat as the anti-government vote.

Plaid aren't agressive enough to get the anti-government vote.

Let's be clear, fascists won't win in Wales, so don't give them free publicity all the time. That's naive, and so "Brit Left", i.e. self indulgent twaddle.

But I agree that Plaid is seen as too establishment. Why should they implement Labour cuts? I think they should press Labour to cut stuff like nuclear weapons, new aircraft carriers, more Typhoon fighters, etc. Now, slashing the number of MPs would be popular too. If "Welsh Labour" refuse - as they will - it's bye-bye coalition. Do your own dirty work, British nationalists.
